Jonas Haseley
Sanborn - Jonas Haseley, 88, of 2481 Sounders Settlement Road, died today (June 8, 1972) in Memorial Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in the Town of Lewiston and had lived in the Sanborn area most of his life. He worked at the Rogers Silver Plating Co., then at the Carborundum Co., and for more than 50 years he had operated a farm at the Saunders Settlement address. An avid musician, he played for Roger's Silver Band, and the Shredded Wheat Co. Band. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, an exempt member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co., and a charter member of the Niagara Sportsmen's Club. Survivors include his widow Martha; two sons John and Donald Haseley; a daughter, Martha Haseley, all of Sanborn, one grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be help Saturday at 2 P.M. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Harold l. Baum officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home (Pike and Jones) 5833 Hoover Road, from 7-9 P.M. today and from 2 to 5 and 7 - 9 P.M. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the family said.

Also survived by one grandchild, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will beheld Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at St." Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Harold L Baum officiating. Interment in St, Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. The family will be present at the Rhoney Funeral Home Inc, (Pike & Jones) 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Friday. If preferred memorials may be made to the St Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
