The native of Niagara Falls was born Aug. 12, 1950, the son of Harold and Janet Kroening of Sanborn. He attended Niagara-Wheatfield Senior High School and Brockport State University. While residing in Rochester, Mr. Kroening worked at Eastman Kodak Co., coached soccer for the Gates Soccer League and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Schlegel) Kroening of Rochester; two daughters, Laura Kroening and Melissa Kroening, both of Rochester; a son, David Kroening of Rochester; a sister, Amy Folmsbee of Sanborn; his paternal grandmother; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Funeral Home of Alvah Halloran and Son, 2125 Chili Ave., Rochester. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2576 Browncroft Blvd., Rochester.
