    • PATRICK J., TUEPAH
      Patrick J. Tuepah age, 88, of Cayuga Village, formerly of Sanborn, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, November 10, 2006 while in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Camden, Ontario, Canada on May 15, 1918 to the late William and Lillie (Cassibault) Tuepah. He was a member of the Canadian Air Force Paratrooper Division, making 72 jumps behind enemy lines, during World War II. He was shot once and stabbed once during several jumps-and afterwards received several medals. After. the war, he moved to the United States in 1945 and settled in Cambria. He was employed at National Grinding Wheel, in North Tonawanda as a mixer for 30 years, retiring in 1983. Patrick has been a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin, for the past 61 years; and is an exempt member of the Pekin Fire Company, of which he was an active member for many years. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margaret (Wendt) Tuepah; a daughter, Sandra (John) Eddy of Niagara Falls; a sister, Mary (Leo) Johnston of Sterling, Ontario; a brother, Francis Tuepah of Oshawa, Ontario; three grandchildren, Ronald (Colleen) Tarnowski, Michael Tarnowski and Melanie (Jeffery) Rick; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan Tarriowski; many other relatives in Canada; and life long friends, Gene and Flevie Danielewicz. He was predeceased by a brother, Oakley Tuepah; and a sister, Madeline Johnston. Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. R.P. Vogeler on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Pekin. Interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
