      Aged Bergholtz Man Is at Rest
      Hold Funeral Services for William Buerger.
      BERGHOLTZ - Funeral services for William Buerger, 71, who died here Sunday following an illness of only a few days, were held Thanksgiving day at the home at 2:15 and from the St. James Lutheran church at 2:45 o'clock with the Rev. Otto Bruss officiating. A resident of this village for 48 years, he was held in the highest regard by his neighbors and friends as shown by the numerous floral displays. He was born in Germany but came to this country shortly after his marriage to Emilie Lang in Germany. Surviving is his wife, Emilie; two sons, Charles and William; seven daughters, Mrs. John Schultz, Mrs. Frank Wolf, Mrs. George Magin (sp.), Mrs. Fred Werth, Mrs. Phillip Wendt, Mrs. Walter Holland, and Mrs. Donald Toellner, all of this vicinity. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bearers were Philip Mueller, Anton Goerss, Henry Wittcop, John Zimmerman, Walter Urtel and John Heuer. Floral bearers were Howard Magin (sp.), Kenneth Voelker, Albert DeVanteer (sp.), Arthur Heuer, Howard Fitzgerald, Reinhard Wendt, William Gombert, Edward Schultz and Harold Heuer. Interment was in St. James cemetery.
