      Aged Bergholz Resident Passes
      Bergholz, April 17, - Mrs. Matilda Wienke, nee Retzlaff, 74 years old, wife of Albert Wienke, died today at her home, in Cayuga road after a brief illness. She was stricken with paralysis Sunday. She was born in Pampow, Germany, and had resided in this village for the past 51 years. She was a member of St. James Lutheran church and the Ladies' Aid society. Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Edward Jagow and Mrs. William Eggert, both of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Albert Schmeichel, of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Christ Haseley, of Sanborn, and Mrs. Gustav Moll, of Bergholz; five sons, Adolph, of Sanborn, John, Hugo and Reinhard, all of Bergholz. and Albert, of North Tonawanda; 34 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred, of Grand Haven, Mich., and Edward, of Sanborn. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p. m. from the home and at 2:30 from St. James church. The Rev. Otto Bruss will officiate. Interment will be in St. James cemetery.
