      Mrs. Rose Goerss Dies At Age of 68 Years
      Mrs. Rose Mueller Goerss, 68 years old, died yesterday at the home where she was born and had lived all her life at 10687 Cayuga drive. Funeral services will be conducted at the home on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 o'clock at St. James Lutheran Church at Bergholtz. Mrs. Goerss was a member of St. James church and until illness prevented she had taken an active part in church and town of Niagara affairs. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller, pioneerĀ  settlers in the town of Niagara. Mrs. Goerss is survived by her husband, Edward Goerss, at home, two daughters, Ada Goerss, at home, and Mrs. Arthur Gould of Albion; three sisters, Mrs. Gustave Haseley, of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Anna Walck, of Sanborn, and Mrs. David Heuer, of Bergholtz, and one brother, Phillip Mueller, of Niagara Falls.

      BERGHOLTZ, Aug. 24 - Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Mueller Goerss were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, at 10687 Cayuga drive, town of Niagara, and at 2 :30 o'clock at St. James Lutheran church which was filled with friends and relatives of the deceased. The Rev Harold Grabau, from Ohio, sang, "Wo findet die Seele," with his father, Theodore Grabau, accompanying at the organ. Burial was in St. James cemetery in Niagara road, where many of her forebearers rest. The Rev. Otto Bruss officiated. The flower tributes were many and beautiful. Mrs. Goerss was a life long member of St. James church, and was born at the home where she lived all her life. She was born September 28, 1877, and died last Sunday after a long illness. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller, pioneer settlers in the town of Niagara. She is survived by her husband, Edward Goerss, at home; two daughters, Ada Goerss, at home and Mrs. Helen Gould, of Albion; three sisters, Mrs. Gustav Haseley, of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Anna Walck, of Sanborn, and Mrs. David C. Heuer, of this village, and one brother, Philip Mueller, of Niagara Falls. She was also a sister of the. late William Mueller, John Mueller, August D. Mueller, Mrs, Albertine Collins, Mrs. Helena Walck, Mrs. Auguste Williams and Mrs. Martha Matcher (sic). Bearers were all nephews of the deceased, John Mueller, Jr., Edward Mueller, Norman Mueller, Lewis Heuer, Erwin Walck and Mr. E. Loge.
