      MIDDLEPORT - John L. Kroening, 81, of Fisk Rd., Town of Royalton, died Wednesday (July 8, 1959) at Medina Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for a week. He was born in the Town of Royalton June 12, 1878, the son of August and Dorothea Beerman Kroening. His wife,, the former Rosella Bruning, died in October, 1956. He was a farmer and had lived in this vicinity throughout his life. Survivors include a son, John Kroening Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Coyle; a grandson, all of the Town of Royalton; two brothers, August and Carl Kroening,, and three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Harpst and Mrs.. Elise McCullum, all of Gasport, and Mrs. Alvina Draper,, Buffalo. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Wallace and Heath Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held there at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Ernest E. Heuer officiating. Burial will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.
