      MRS. CAROLINE BARTEL
      Mrs. Caroline Bartel, 80, wife of the late John Bartel, of 28 Walnut street, Lockport, died in the Lockport City hospital this morning. She was a former resident of the Tonawandas. Born in Germany, she had resided in the United States the past 75 years. She leaves a son, John, North Tonawanda; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Rites will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam street. The Rev. Carl Frankenstein of the St. Matthew's church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Matthew cemetery.
