      Aged Lockport Merchant Dies
      Albert E. Williams Founded Store in 1857
      LOCKPORT, June 16. - Albert E. Williams, 81, who with his late brother, William A. Williams, founded the mercantile firm of Williams Brothers company in 1857, died at 9 o'clock this morning at his home at 327 High street. He had been ill for several years and was forced to retire in 1928 because of poor health. Born in Speppin (sic), Germany, Mr. Williams and his brothers came to this country with their parents when but small boys. The family settled near Sanborn, coming to this city a few years later. He was an extensive traveler. A Republican in politics, Mr. Williams for many years gave liberally of his time and money for the Y. M. C. A. and Grace Episcopal church of which he was an active member. He was a member of the Town and Country club and the Tuscarora club. Surviving are the widow, Emily Dameron Williams, of this city, and two brothers, Gustave H., of Sanborn, and Ferdinand W., of Niagara Falls. The funeral services have not been arranged for.
