      Ella E. Mueller, 102, of CrestWood Health Care Center, died there Monday (Jan. 13, 2003). Services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street, Bergholz. Born Ella Pfuhl in Wheatfield, she attended St. Peter's Lutheran School in Walmore. Her husband, John N., died in 1986. Survivors include a son, Delbert Mueller of Streetman, Texas; a daughter, Eunice Garner of Bergen; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

      Ella E. Mueller
      Ella E. (nee Pfuhl) Mueller, age 102, of Crestwood Health Care Center, formerly of Cayuga Drive Ext. was called to her heavenly home on Monday, January 13, 2003 at the health facility. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on October 19, 1900 to Ferdinand and Mollie (Walck) Pfuhl. She attended St. Peter's Lutheran School in Walmore and was a former member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church where she served as organist for three years and a member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz for many years thereafter, where she served on various church committees Her hobbies included reading, quilting for world missions, vegetable and flower gardening. Survivors include two children, Delbert Mueller of Streetman, TX, Eunice (Harry) Gardner of Bergen, NY; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John N. Mueller on October 16, 1986; a son, Melvin j. Mueller; two brothers, Adolph and Henry Pfohl and a sister, Lily Retzlaff. Services will be conducted by the Rev. David B. Menz on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Rohr Street in Bergholz. Interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. James Ev. Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church on Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
