      Crash Kills Douglas Moll
A college senior, Douglas A. Moll, 21, of 7244 Tonawanda Creek Road, Pendleton, was killed early today in a one-car crash a short distance from his home on Tonawanda Creek Road, near Bear Ridge Road, Niagara County Sheriff's Department deputies reported. He was just five minutes away from being home safely, his mother, Mrs. Arnold Moll, said. A 1975 Starpoint High School graduate, Mr. Moll would have been graduated in May from the State University at Buffalo with a degree in electrical engineering, his mother said. Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sandra, and a brother, Robert, both at home; a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Josephine Moll of North Tonawanda, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lindahl of Branchport. Mr. Moll was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Louis Raymond of Lockport. Deputies said the Moll car apparently jumped the curb while traveling at a high rate of speed, hit two mailboxes, a tree, then spun and hit another tree, pinning him in his car. Funeral arrangement are being made by Fretthold Funeral Home, North Tonawanda.
