      WILSON, Oct. 22 - One Wilson driver was killed and another seriously injured at 12:15 a.m. today in a head on collision in Lake St., near the Duxbury Farm. Gordon Frank Dold, 25, of Ide Rd., was pronounced dead on arrival at Ransomville General Hospital. Coroner F. Eugene Ingram, Niagara Falls, said Dold suffered a fractured neck, fractured ribs, a fractured jaw and internal injuries. John R. Schoonmaker. 40, of 182 Franklin St.. was admitted to Ransomville Hospital with fractured ribs, multiple lacerations on the face and legs, a fractured left ankle and possible fractured spine.
      50-Foot Skid Marks.
      Mr. Schoonmaker told sheriffs deputies he was traveling north in Lake St. and saw the Dold car coming south but could not avoid being hit. Deputies said marks on the highway show the Schoonmaker car skidded about 50 feet along the east side of the highway with the right wheel at the edge of the highway and partly on the shoulder. There were no skid marks from the other car. Both cars were demolished. The two men were taken to the hospital in the Wilson Fire Department ambulance by Kenneth Tracey and Donald Flagler of Wilson. The accident was investigated by Set. Robert Andrews and Deputies Clyde Doty. William Munch and Stanley Dotmki of the sheriffs department. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Dold was born April 24. 1930, in the Town of Royalton, son of Frank and Clara Wittcopp Dold. He was graduated from Lockport High School.
      World War II Vet
      Mr. Dold was employed about three months at Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corp before entering the armed forces in 1950 and returned to work there when he was discharged from military service in 1953. Mr. Dold served in the Air Force in Korea as an airman second class. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lockport. In addition to his parents, he is survived by seven sisters, Esther, Elizabeth, Nancy, Arlene, Suzanne, Alice and Sandra, all of Wilson, and four brothers, Victor, Franklin and Frederick of Wilson and Charles O'Dell of Jersey City, N.J. Friends may call at the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, beginning sunday afternoon. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Orangeport Cemetery.
