  Notes	Alvin E. Mietz. Middleport Alvin E. Mietz, 33 Sherman Road, Middleport, died yesterday at Buffalo General Hospital following a short illness. Born Nov 15, 1906 in the town of Lockport, he was the son of Rudolph and Rosa (Hintz) Mietz. He had lived in Middleport for the past 18 years; before that in Lockport. He had been employed at Randleigh Farm in Lockport for several years and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gasport and the Middleport Senior Citizens. Mr. Mietz is survived by one brother, Howard (Geraldine) Mietz of Lockport; one sister Mrs. Kenneth (Hazel) Halstead of Gasport; Three nieces and two nephews, Paul Halstead of Gasport, Mrs. Eric (Naomi) Zink of Brockport. Mrs. Robert (Mary) DeMattina of Calverton, N.Y., Daniel (Maureen) Halstead of Hamlin, Timothy (Deborah) Mietz of Barker, one great-nephew and two great-nieces, Jeffrey Zink, Jennifer Zink and Anne DeMattina. Friends may call tonight ands Thursday (2-4, 7-9) at the Bates Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc. 36 State St. Funeral Services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Gasport, with the Rev. Clarence Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery. Memorial gifts to Zion Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
