- Lillian L. (Holland) Roszel, longtime resident of the Town of Niagara, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was 92. She was born in Niagara Falls on October 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Albert and Amalie (Strassburg) Holland.. She attended local schools and then worked for many years as a nurses aide at several hospitals, retiring from Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Mrs. Roszel was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church, and a member of the Niagara Active Hose Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She dedicated much of her life to helping others including taking the time to help raise her daughter Gail's two children, Mark and Jimmy.. Mrs. Roszel is survived by two sons, Claire (Jeri) and Ronald (Grace) Roszel of Jacksonville, FL; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur Roszel (1995); and her daughter, Gail Linnane (2004).. There will be no prior visitation and services will be held at a time to be announced..
