      Elton Schaal of Wilson passed away May 18, 2015 at the age of 85. Son of the late Edwin and Agathe Schaal and husband to the late Elizabeth (Morton) and brother to the late Helen Wollaber and Dolores Eckler. Elton was a local farmer and worked for Harrison Radiator. A United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. Elton was a devoted Christian and lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilson, NY. He had a deep love for the land and his farm animals. He enjoyed selling his crops at the Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda City Markets. Most of all, he loved being at home and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Dorothy (George) Preston of Ithaca, NY., Nancy Simmons of Wilson, NY, Gloria (Thomas) Lerardi of Skaneateles, NY; his sister, Ruth (Gale) Pasquarette; and his six grandchildren, Geoffrey and Emma Preston, Kiersten and Benjamin Simmons, Maria and Alex Lerardi. Family and friends are invited to Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young St, Wilson NY 14172 on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - noon. Funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 220 Young Street. There will be a private burial at North Ridge Cemetery with full military honors at 3:15 p.m. Memorials in Elton's memory can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 490, Wilson NY 14172.
